About This Part
Survive-S is Hasbro's SlingShock adaptation of the Survive tip, built taller than the original and fitted with two tabs on its sides that manage its low-angled cone point. Those tabs let it be switched by hand between "Battle Ring Mode," where the cone tip sits at an unusually tall height, and "SlingShock Mode," where the tabs loosen the cone into a wide hollow-flat shape that also rides shorter, matching the SlingShock Beystadium's rail system. It debuted in western countries with the Guardian Kerbeus K4 and Blizzard-X Giga Gaianon G4 Dual Pack.
In Play
In Battle Ring Mode its cone tip rebounds well from hits and resists roaming, while in SlingShock Mode it struggles to hold a banking pattern but gains a strong Tornado-Stalling ability that the community rates above Zephyr and Iron; it factors into stamina/defense combinations such as Guardian Kerbeus K4 4/0/7 Glaive/Cross Survive-S and knock-out attack builds like Nightmare Lúinor L3/Boom Khalzar K3 2/0/7 Bump/Meteor Survive-S. Overall it is considered a strong all-purpose choice unless drivers such as Atomic, Bearing, Friction-S, or Wedge-S are available.
