About This Part

Survive is a performance tip shaped as a low-angled cone rising from a cylinder base, released by Takara Tomy as part of the core Burst System. Outmatched by some heavy defense builds, it still holds real value in stamina-focused burst combinations, and can stand in as a defense driver when better options aren't on hand, its shape helping it bounce back from hits and avoid knock-outs. Its stability lets it absorb impacts without losing balance or precessing too soon, unlike sharper tips. It debuted in Japan on July 18th, 2015 with the B-03 starter Ragnaruk Heavy Survive, and reached the west through Hasbro's Roktavor and Nepstrius Dual Pack.

In Play

Survive is central to the stamina combination Deathscyther Spread Survive, which has placed in numerous tournaments on the strength of Deathscyther's rounded shape, Spread's weight distribution, and Survive's ability to out-spin rivals; it also carries the attack-stamina hybrid Valkyrie Heavy Survive, though that pairing became riskier once Odin arrived. Once a top-tier stamina choice, it has since been overtaken by Revolve and Atomic, which use free-spinning components it lacks, and the community now treats it mainly as a collection piece.

  • Debuted in Japan on July 18th, 2015 with the B-03 starter Ragnaruk Heavy Survive.
  • Reached western countries through Hasbro's Roktavor and Nepstrius Dual Pack.
  • A Gold Ver. recolour of Survive was obtainable in Japan through a Gold Driver Ticket Campaign, redeemed with a CoroCoro magazine ticket plus a receipt for Takara Tomy Beyblade Burst products.
  • A Red Ver. recolour of Survive was obtainable through a Red Driver Campaign in Japan by spending up to 2000 yen on Takara Tomy Beyblade Burst products.

The Competitive View

Strong in stamina-based combos akin to MFB's Defense tip; also functions as a serviceable, if outclassed, defense driver, its shape helping it rebound from hits rather than get knocked out of the stadium.

Verdict as the draft gives it: A solid stamina driver and a usable, though outclassed, defensive option.

  • First released in translucent yellow with Ragnaruk Heavy Survive
  • Low-angled cone shape protruding from a cylinder, similar to MFB's Defense Performance Tip (D)
