About This Part

Rise is a driver from Takara Tomy's Gatinko Layer System, released within the Burst line and later carried into Hasbro's Pro Series lineup. It combines a sharp tip with a downward-facing plate that does not spin freely, intended to strike the stadium floor on impact and push the blade back upright to guard against knock-outs. In practice the plate's fixed rotation bleeds stamina rather than restoring balance, and its low placement leaves the blade prone to scraping. It debuted in Japan with the B-139 starter pairing Wizard Fafnir with Ratchet Rise Sen on April 27th, 2019, before reaching the west inside Hasbro's Evo Elite Champions Pro Set.

In Play

Competitively, Rise's smooth plate rim and non-rotating design tend to worsen stamina loss rather than help it, and its narrow tip does little to prevent tip-overs, leaving it generally considered outclassed.
