About This Part
Quattro is a driver Takara Tomy released for the Burst System and the Dynamite Battle Layer System, debuting in Japan inside the Astral Spriggan Customize Set on August 7th, 2021. It carries a mode-switching tip offering Attack, Defense, Stamina and Balance settings, sitting taller than an average driver to accommodate the mechanism, though its spring runs noticeably weaker than a typical driver's, leaving it prone to bursting unless paired with high burst-resistance layers. The Attack mode uses a small flat rubber tip like Xtreme', the Defense mode a small free-spinning metal ball like Orbit Metal, the Stamina mode a metal point like Wedge', and the Balance mode a flat rubber tip with a central plastic point like Unite'.
In Play
The community rates Quattro's Defense and Stamina modes competitively strong against same-spin opponents, on par with other stamina drivers, though weaker against opposite-spin opponents, while its tall Attack and Balance modes stay vulnerable to knock-outs; the arrival of the sturdier Dash-driver variant Quattro' leaves little reason to run this version, and it is mainly kept for collecting.
- Debuted in Japan inside the Astral Spriggan Customize Set on August 7th, 2021.
- The maker's own published stats for Quattro cover only its Attack mode setting.
