About This Part

Quake is a driver Takara Tomy released for the Burst System, debuting in Japan inside the Beyblade Custom Set Attack & Balance on November 14th, 2015, and later reaching the west in Hasbro's Custom Clash Pack. It uses a flat, elliptical tip set off-centre, meant to make a beyblade hop around the stadium the way Quake did in Metal Fight Beyblade, aiming to knock the disc against the layer and burst an opponent. Because the tip's angle is shallow and the offset small, that hopping effect is unreliable unless paired with a light, off-balance build and a sharply angled launch, and the slanted tip keeps it from holding a banking pattern, so it grinds against the Tornado Ridge instead.

In Play

The community considers Quake's stamina, control and hop-attack potential too inconsistent for tournament play, treating it as a collector's driver rather than a competitive one.

  • Debuted in Japan inside the Beyblade Custom Set Attack & Balance on November 14th, 2015.
  • Reached western markets in Hasbro's Custom Clash Pack.
  • A red-coloured recolour was obtainable in Japan through a Cho-Z Driver Get campaign.
  • A red-coloured Quake recolour was obtainable in Japan through a Cho-Z Driver Get campaign by purchasing up to 2000 yen worth of Takara Tomy Beyblade Burst merchandise.

The Competitive View

When it fails to hop, Quake performs poorly and is outclassed by Xtreme and Accel; when it does hop, the notable combo Xcalibur Oval Quake pairs Quake with the Oval Disc's imbalance to hop far more consistently, though it remains a gimmicky setup that needs a skilled blader to control.

  • Off-center elliptical flat tip
  • Debuted in B-21 Custom Set Attack & Balance Ver., released November 16, 2015
  • Takara Tomy releases: B-21 Minoboros Oval Quake (Beyblade Attack & Balance Reshuffle Set, translucent purple); B-57 Victory Valkyrie Upper Quake (Triple Booster Set, translucent pale blue); Single Top Pack Minoboros Oval Quake
