About This Part

Octa, stylized by Takara Tomy as Ωcta, is a driver built around an octagonal metal disc with four holes that flares into a dome shape. It debuted in Japan in August 2017 through a Rare Bey Get Battle prize booster, Orichalcum Outer Octa, before Hasbro brought it west as part of the SwitchStrike Starter Pack, Orichalcum O3 Outer Octa. Small bumps near its spring lock add friction against the burst lock, and the metal disc makes it one of the heavier drivers in the line.

In Play

The added weight helps resist knock-outs but eats into burst resistance as a match slows down, and the octagonal shape blunts life-after-death compared with Atomic, while the segmented tip gives it stamina worse than even outclassed tips like Survive; the community treats its rarity as a collector's draw rather than a competitive edge and considers it unsuited to tournament play.
