About This Part

Takara Tomy released Mobius, a tall driver with a low-angled, free-spinning conical sharp tip, in Japan on July 18th, 2020 with the B-169 Starter, Variant Lucifer Mobius 2D; Hasbro brought it west shortly after in the Pro Series Starter Pack featuring Variant Lucius Mobius 2D. A later blue B-194 release carries a tip with noticeably freer spin than the original black version.

In Play

The sharp tip's low friction gives it strong stamina and burst defence, and its wide free-spinning point helps it stay upright, making it especially effective against opposite-spin opponents, though its successor Bearing Mobius edges it out slightly in same-spin matchups.

  • Debuted in Japan on July 18th, 2020 with the B-169 Starter.
  • Released in western markets by Hasbro as the Pro Series Starter Pack, Variant Lucius Mobius 2D.
