About This Part
Metal Survive takes the Survive driver's cone-on-cylinder shape and adds a Metal Lock cap with a stronger spring. Takara Tomy launched it in Japan on August 7th, 2021 with the B-188 Astral Spriggan Customize Set. As with other metal-lock parts, the first production run's lock could damage a layer's teeth, and stock made from October 2021 onward carries shortened tabs that cut that risk while lowering burst resistance.
In Play
It once ranked among the best stamina drivers thanks to its low angle and wide base, and it can still stand in as a defence option because its shape resists tipping and delayed precession, but the community now considers it outclassed by free-spinning tips like Revolve and Atomic and keeps it mainly for a collection.
- Debuted in Japan on August 7th, 2021 with the B-188 Astral Spriggan Customize Set.
- Reprints from October 2021 onward shortened the metal lock tabs.
