About This Part
Metal Destroy is an Attack-type Driver that Takara Tomy released for the Burst System and the Dynamite Battle Layer System, debuting with the B-189 Booster, Guilty Longinus Karma Metal Destroy-2. It combines an eight-pointed star tip like Jaggy with a free-spinning plate at standard height, and is the Metal Lock version of the Destroy Driver, adding a Metal Lock and stronger spring for extra weight and Burst Resistance, though the lock's shorter tabs limit the gain, and early units could damage a Layer's teeth before an October 2021 tab shortening fixed that. The free-spinning plate sits low enough to avoid locking up, letting it stabilize the Beyblade after a hit with only minor Stamina loss.
In Play
The community rates Metal Destroy as highly versatile across top-tier Balance builds thanks to its blend of Stamina, Life-After-Death and Attack potential, though it can still damage a Layer's teeth, so it is treated as a collection piece.
