About This Part

Jaggy is a Driver Takara Tomy released for the Burst System and the Dual Layer System, debuting in Japan on April 29th, 2016 with the B-42 Dark Deathscyther Force Jaggy booster, later reaching western markets through Hasbro's Dark Doomscizor D2 and Über Unicrest U2 Dual Pack. It has an eight-pointed, flat star tip with a depression at its center, whose shape and surface area push its speed above Accel's.

In Play

The star tip's rough edge makes holding a banking pattern difficult and cuts stamina sharply, so the community rates Jaggy behind Accel and Zephyr, and behind rubber tips like Quick and Xtreme, leaving it recommended mainly for collecting rather than competitive use.

  • Released in Japan on April 29th, 2016 with the B-42 Dark Deathscyther Force Jaggy booster.
  • Released in western markets by Hasbro with the Dark Doomscizor D2 and Über Unicrest U2 Dual Pack.
  • A platinum-colored version was distributed through a CoroCoro magazine ticket campaign in Japan.
  • The Platinum Ver. Jaggy was obtainable by presenting a Platinum Driver Ticket from CoroCoro magazine and spending up to 2000円 on Takara Tomy Beyblade Burst products.

The Competitive View

Jaggy circles the stadium like a flat tip but is harder to keep on a controlled banking pattern than top attack/stamina options, giving it little competitive niche versus Xtreme or Zephyr.

Verdict as the draft gives it: No real competitive use; recommended for collection purposes only.

  • Debuted Doomscizer D2 Force Jaggy, April 29, 2016
  • Releases: B-42 Dark Deathscyther Force Jaggy (translucent purple), B-61 Holy Horusood Vertical Jaggy and Obelisk Odin Upper Jaggy (Random Booster Vol. 4), B-62 Fang Fenrir Boost Jaggy (BeyStadium Dual Cyclone Set)
