About This Part
High Accel is a Driver Takara Tomy released for the Burst System and the Superking Layer System, debuting in Japan on December 26th, 2020 in the B-176 Random Booster Vol. 23. It is a taller High and Dash variant of Accel, keeping the same small flat plastic tip and embossed letter "A" but standing taller than a standard driver and carrying a stronger spring for extra burst resistance. The added surface area gives it a hard-hitting, controllable movement when launched at an angle, running faster than Blow yet slower than Xtreme and able to reach and hold at the Tornado Ridge; its solid plastic build also makes it a strong pick for mobile-stamina and attack/stamina balance setups since it neither wears down like Xtreme nor chips like Zephyr.
In Play
The plastic build is also a liability: unbalanced attack combinations built around High Accel can lose their banking pattern easily, and the low friction leaves it prone to self-knockouts, so community rankings place it well behind rubber attack drivers such as Xtreme' and Quick' in the current metagame, recommending it mainly for collecting.
- Debuted in Japan on December 26th, 2020 in the B-176 Random Booster Vol. 23.
