About This Part

Fusion is a Driver that Takara Tomy released as part of the Burst System, first appearing in Japan on July 18th, 2015 with the B-02 DX Starter Spriggan Spread Fusion, and reaching western shelves through Hasbro's Spryzen and Odax Dual Pack. It has a plastic flat tip with a slim central protrusion reminiscent of Metal Fight Beyblade's Flat Sharp, sitting at a standard driver height, with an embossed letter "F" marking its face. Launched straight down, it balances on that protrusion for a calm, stamina-sparing spin, and when tipped over it shifts into a burst of movement matching Accel's pace before settling back onto the point.

In Play

Community testers rate Fusion as unreliable for both attack and stamina, since the protrusion can stall a combination's aggressive phase in the middle of the stadium and the flat rim drains stamina once contact is made, leaving it suited mainly to collecting.

  • Debuted in Japan on July 18th, 2015 with the B-02 DX Starter, Spriggan Spread Fusion.
  • Reached western release through Hasbro's Spryzen and Odax Dual Pack.
  • A Gold Ver. recolor was distributed in Japan through a Gold Driver Ticket Campaign that required a CoroCoro-published ticket plus a purchase receipt.
  • A Red Ver. recolor was distributed in Japan through a Red Driver Campaign tied to spending 2000円 on Takara Tomy Beyblade Burst products.

The Competitive View

Fails to match the attack, stability, or stamina of type-specialized Drivers, making it a weak all-rounder rather than a genuinely balanced option.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Never used competitively, as it is outperformed by every other Driver in its intended combo type.

  • Weight: 5.6 grams
  • Flat base with small sharp central tip, standard Burst driver height
