About This Part
Drift-SP is Hasbro's SpeedStorm rendition of Takara Tomy's Drift, released in the Motor Strike Battle Set. It keeps the same wide, round shape as its counterpart, but its tip is fixed in place rather than free-spinning, and has been flattened instead of left conical. Like other SpeedStorm drivers, it sits taller than the standard driver height, which makes it easier to knock off balance.
In Play
Its round shape still gives it strong life-after-death, but losing the free-spinning tip cuts its stamina sharply, and its limitation to Hasbro's Energy Layers leaves the community treating it as a collection piece rather than a competitive one.
