About This Part
Claw is a Driver Takara Tomy released as part of the Burst System, debuting in Japan on September 19th, 2015 inside the B-15 Random Booster Vol. 1 Trident Heavy Claw, and later brought west by Hasbro in the Hyper Horusood H2 Upper Claw Starter Pack. It uses a low-angle cone tip similar to Survive but narrower, ringed by four free-moving claws along its sides, comparable to Metal Fight Beyblade's C145 Track, which are meant to swing outward under spin to widen the part's weight distribution.
In Play
That outward swing does little for stamina in practice, and the claws dragging the floor as spin slows actually cuts precession time short, leaving Claw behind Survive for endurance even though the same claws give it decent resistance to knock-outs and, thanks to their small contact point, good burst resistance; the community now rates it well behind Revolve, Orbit and Atomic and treats it as a collector's piece.
- Released in Japan on September 19th, 2015 inside the B-15 Random Booster Vol. 1 Trident Heavy Claw.
- Released in western countries inside Hasbro's Hyper Horusood H2 Upper Claw Starter Pack.
- The Limited Color recolor could be claimed in Japan by spending up to 2000円 on Takara Tomy Beyblade Burst products at participating stores.
The Competitive View
Early in the Burst meta Claw was a strong Defense-combo pick because its cone tip's low friction gave good burst defense while the scraping claws added Knock-Out defense, but newer Drivers like Revolve and Atomic have since matched its strengths while improving on its weaknesses.
Verdict as the draft gives it: Claw is now considered severely outclassed with no competitive use in the Standard Format, and in the Hasbro-Only Format it is also outclassed by Orbit and Atomic; suitable for collection only.
