About This Part

Charge Metal-SPM is a large, bulky Driver from Hasbro's SpeedStorm System, launching in western countries inside the SpeedStorm Starter Pack Triumph Dragon D6 Armed Charge Metal-SPM. Most of its contact surface is metal, making it the heaviest Driver in the line, and it is taller and wider than its Takara Tomy counterpart Charge Metal.

In Play

That extra height and weight make it unusually prone to tipping over, wiping out whatever stamina its rounded tip might otherwise offer, so the community rates it strictly for display rather than battle.

  • Released in western countries inside the SpeedStorm Starter Pack Triumph Dragon D6 Armed Charge Metal-SPM.
  • The -SPM suffix is misleading: the driver lacks metal on its upper section and so is not a true SpeedStorm Metal part, making it more accurately a -SP variant of Charge Metal.
  • The Beyblade Burst App briefly renamed it Charger-SPM in late June 2021 before reverting to Charge Metal-SPM days later, a label that would have wrongly implied it was an SPM version of the original Charge.
  • Pairing this Driver with the Nightmare Lúinor L3 Layer leaves the combination too imbalanced to spin properly when launched.
