About This Part

Charge is an Attack-type Driver Takara Tomy released for the Gatinko Layer System, debuting in Japan on March 16th, 2019 inside the B-133 DX Starter Ace Dragon Sting Charge Zan. It is a wide, round part with a flat tip, built with metal worked through much of its body to push its weight up and, in theory, raise its momentum on impact.

In Play

In practice the plastic tip cannot translate that added weight into real speed, and the extra mass makes Charge combinations easier to burst than to knock out, so it lands closer to a novelty part than a competitive one.

  • Released in Japan on March 16th, 2019 inside the B-133 DX Starter Ace Dragon Sting Charge Zan.
  • The Gold Turbo Ver. recolor could be claimed in Japan by spending up to 2000円 on Takara Tomy Beyblade Burst products at participating stores.
