About This Part

Bearing is a Driver Takara Tomy released for the God Layer System and SwitchStrike System, debuting in Japan on November 11th, 2017 with the B-98 God Customize Set and reaching western shelves through Hasbro's SwitchStrike Starter Pack built around Deep Caynox C3 4Flow Bearing. It pairs a free-spinning, low-angled POM plastic cone tip with ball bearings in the shaft, mixing ideas from the Yielding Driver and the older Bearing Drive part from Metal Fight Beyblade.

In Play

The low-friction tip and bearing-supported shaft give Takara Tomy's Bearing the highest raw Stamina potential in the Burst line, but its weak spring lock and poor Knock-Out resistance leave it behind Revolve and Atomic overall, though it excels in top-tier opposite-spin Stamina and Spin-Equalization builds alongside the dual-spin Spriggan Requiem, and the community calls it a must-have for competitive play; Hasbro's version swaps in ordinary colored plastic and a stronger spring, trading some Stamina for meaningfully better Burst resistance while remaining a must-have in its own right.

  • Released by Takara Tomy for the Burst System, God Layer System and SwitchStrike System.
  • Debuted in Japan on November 11th, 2017 with the B-98 God Customize Set.
  • Debuted in western countries with Hasbro's SwitchStrike Starter Pack built around Deep Caynox C3 4Flow Bearing.

The Competitive View

The low-friction POM coating and bearing-supported shaft are claimed (speculatively) to give the highest stamina potential in the game and strong burst resistance, staying put like a gyroscope when tipped over at low spin rather than roaming; but the same low tip-to-floor friction makes it very vulnerable to knockouts against attack combinations.

  • POM-coated, low-angle cone tip
  • Ball-bearing-supported free-spinning shaft
  • Product: B-98 Ultra Transformation Set Deep Chaos 4Flow Bearing (translucent yellow, white POM)
