About This Part
Atomic-S is a Driver Hasbro released for the SlingShock System, debuting in western countries with the SlingShock Starter Pack built around Hazard Kerbeus K4 7 Atomic-S. It is based on the standard Atomic Driver, keeping the free-rotating ball tip and four-tabbed free-spinning ring but with a smaller ball closer in size to Orbit, and it can switch between "Battle Ring Mode" and "SlingShock Mode" by pressing a tab to extend the ring into a flat tip.
In Play
The community rates Hasbro's Energy Layers as outclassed by heavier Takara Tomy releases, limiting Atomic-S in the current metagame, but calls it a strong pick for Stamina and Life-After-Death when paired with Frames such as Glaive and Cross, and a must-have Driver for competitive bladers overall; it is not legal in the WBO's Burst Classic Format.
