About This Part

Ring is a Takara Tomy disc for the Burst System, built around a smooth, solid ring that forms its rim, broken by four small design cuts that give it a pipe-like look and joined to its centre by two thin triangular struts alongside the layer-mounting prongs. It debuted in Japan on November 14th, 2015 with the Beyblade Custom Set Defense & Stamina, later reaching western markets through Hasbro's Valtryek and Unicrest dual pack. Nearly all of its weight sits on the rim, giving it strong Outward Weight Distribution and a stamina boost through the flywheel effect, plus a smooth perimeter that adds a touch of Life-After-Death by letting a fallen beyblade keep rolling on its edge for a few extra rotations.

In Play

That same rim-heavy weight distribution makes Ring hard to slow once spinning and resistant to losing stamina on impact, but it channels that impact force into the layer instead, raising the chance of tooth-skip bursts; the community favours a Tornado Staller build such as Deathscyther Ring Zephyr, which can out-spin stationary opponents without engaging them, but generally prefers discs with similar stamina and less burst risk, such as Spread and Knuckle, so it recommends Ring mainly for collecting.
