About This Part
Heavy is a disc Takara Tomy released early in the Burst System, debuting in Japan on July 18th, 2015 with the B-03 Ragnaruk Heavy Survive starter and reaching the west through Hasbro's Roktavor and Nepstrius dual pack. Its mostly circular, ring-shaped build is ridged on the inside and broken by four armour-styled rectangular protrusions, and it held the title of heaviest disc in the Burst line for a long stretch until Gravity and Quarter matched or edged past it. Its heavy, centre-loaded weight distribution suits burst-focused attack builds by maximizing spin speed, and makes it harder to burst than Gravity, though at some cost to stamina.
In Play
Heavy served well in attack builds like Xcalibur Heavy Xtreme and Valkyrie Heavy Yielding, defence builds like Wyvern Heavy Revolve and Neptune Heavy Unite, and even balance builds like Dark Deathscyther Heavy Orbit and Odin Heavy Defense, but Core Discs and Disc Frames have since outclassed it, leaving it a welcome rather than essential pick.
