In play and in the story

The community generally rates its Storm Fusion Wheel as usable smash-attack power that falls short of the top-tier wheels of its era, kept viable mainly through the Rubber Flat tip's grip.

Released in Japan on March 28th, 2009 for 1260 yen.
Brought to international markets by Hasbro in 2011.
Also released as a recolour, Pegasis Tornado Wing, in a Hasbro Faceoff set.
Also released in a Hasbro Super Vortex Battle Set with chrome-finished wheels.

Community testing, Feb. 01, 2010 — summarised

The competitive view

Storm is rated a cheaper but slightly less consistent alternative to a rival wheel for Attack. Rubber Flat tends to self-knock-out when fresh and is recommended to be broken in through practice battles first. Two manufacturing molds are detailed, with one maker's fix for a wobble problem in the original. A rare, competitively viable Balance build pairs a heavy wheel with Rubber Flat, citing a measured win rate against a Stamina rival. A height-adjustable track is noted to perform well.
