About This Part

Storm was Takara Tomy's first Attack Type Metal Wheel in the Hybrid Wheel System, launching in Japan on March 28, 2009 with the BB-28 Starter Storm Pegasus 105RF and reaching the west inside the Super Vortex Battle Set. Carrying the three-winged shape it inherited from the older Pegasis Wheel, its wings sit flatter and its contact points strike with less force, giving it a milder Smash Attack. A mould variation exists too, where certain production runs add extra metal along the underside channels that line up with the gaps between the wings.

In Play

Storm was a serviceable Attack Type at launch but never matched Pegasis, and later wheels such as Vulcan and Lightning, along with its own successor Spiral, have left it fit only for collecting rather than competitive play.
