Description
A member of the Gimmick Specialty Series built on the Hard Metal System, this Attack-type top turned up in the randomized Beyblade Fukobako (Lucky Box) grab-bag of 2005 rather than a standard release. Its Riger Emblem bit-protector uses a third-generation mold depicting a stylized liger, and the Slash Upper attack ring gives it a rare double threat of Smash and Upper Attack in right spin, trading some of that Upper reach in left spin for pure Smash. A CWD Free Crusher weight disk and a Free Wing Core running core round out the stack, though the community considers both largely decorative rather than competitively useful.

In play and in the story
Slash Upper's attack range runs smaller than rivals like Samurai Upper and Circle Upper and it weighs roughly four grams less than the format's heaviest Attack rings, but competitive players still value it for combining two attack styles at once, a trait suited to compact stadiums such as Tornado Balance Type S. The CWD Free Crusher and Free Wing Core see essentially no competitive use on their own; one recognized exception locks the free-spinning Free Crusher against Samurai Changer MS's Battle Change Core for a high-Smash, high-recoil combo that either ends a match immediately or loses badly.
- Released as part of the randomized Beyblade Fukobako (Lucky Box) assortment in 2005.
- A dark blue Fukubako Box 2005 recolor exists as a variant.
Community testing, 2009-05-04 — summarised
The competitive view
Slash Riger MS is a Hard Metal System Beyblade whose reputation as a one-hit-KO blade is disputed, despite its large size.
It is often described as a one-hit-KO blade, but that reputation is disputed: despite its large size, it is compared to CWD Free Crusher and Free Wing and judged not truly OHKO-capable.
- Booster source for the dark blue Slash Riger MS confirmed as HMS Fukobako 2005 Booster, alongside Samurai Changer (Black/Red), Phantom Fox MS (Lime Green/Bright Blue) and Dark Leopard MS (Grey/Yellow)
