Description

Built from the same Bearing Gyro parts as its siblings, Magical Stander pairs the Balance holder with the Gyro Defense ring, the Gyro Super disk and the Gyro Spin Gear shaft assembly. It went on sale in Japan in December 2000 alongside the rest of the Bearing Gyro Beyblade wave. Gyro Defense's balanced, rounded rim gives strong unaided spin duration, but the seam between its two halves lets recoil through on contact, and its sloped upper surface leaves it open to being pressed down by an opponent. The Gyro Super disk sends almost all of its weight to the outer edge, making it one of the widest and heaviest disks of its time.

In play and in the story

It ranks among the stronger rings for raw spin-time, though standard survival-oriented tips struggle against it in head-to-head play, and it becomes a genuinely effective zombie-style build only once matched with a full-auto clutch shaft.

  • Released in Japan in December 2000 in the Bearing Gyro Beyblade series.
