Community testing, Aug. 09, 2012 — summarised

The competitive view

Covers the 4D Beyblade Jade Jupiter S130RB: a Zeus/eagle-themed Face and Clear Wheel, the Jade Metal Wheel with its four-metal-ball mode-change gimmick (Stamina Mode vs Defense Mode), the Shield 130 Track, and the pink-rubber Rubber Ball Bottom, plus notes on Hasbro's simplified one-piece Jade mold.

Jade's gimmick underdelivers: it is too light and unevenly weighted to help Defense, and the balls only shift late in a battle, blunting the intended low-velocity stabilizing effect; S130 instead finds use adding weight to attackers without blocking contact points, and Rubber Ball helps Defense combos via grip and surface area.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Jade itself is not competitive; S130 works in the attack combo MF-H Flash Escolpio/Pisces/Orion S130RF and RB works in the defense combo MF-H Duo Aquario BD145RB, though RB can be substituted with RDF from Death Quetzalcoatl — recommended mainly for collectors or as a fallback.

  • Clear Wheel: Jupiter - 3.11 grams, purple
  • Metal Wheel: Jade - 39.15 grams total (Core 16.87 grams, Metal Frame 22.28 grams)
  • Jade's four metal balls sit in radial slots and move freely (Stamina Mode) or lock near the centre (Defense Mode)
  • Track: Shield 130 (S130) - 3.3 grams, dark grey, 8-armed disk
  • Bottom: Rubber Ball (RB) - 0.82 grams, dark grey plastic with pink rubber (unusual color for a rubber tip)
  • Hasbro's Jade Jupiter 130B mold uses a single-piece Metal Frame with non-functional decorative bumps and is lighter than the original
