A-rank tryouts go poorly for both Hizashi brothers until Valt teaches Hyuga to listen for his Bey's voice, letting him and Hikaru finally bond with their Beys at the same time. Valt then takes the brothers to Spain to meet Free De La Hoya, who has evolved into Mirage Fafnir after a shock loss to a rookie; Free beats Rantaro in a demonstration and then defeats Hikaru and Hyuga together.
