Biography

Hikaru Hizashi is the elder of two brothers who co-headline Beyblade Burst Surge, a calm, strategic counterpart to his reckless younger brother Hyuga. Inspired by watching Valt Aoi's title match years earlier, he forges his Lightning Bey Kolossal Helios and, with Hyuga, challenges gyms and legendary bladers across the series. After Lain Valhalla destroys Kolossal Helios, Hikaru evolves it into Helios Blazebringer, and later pilots a Quad Beyblade version, Komet Helios, in the QuadStrike sequel series.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

An average-height boy with slightly tanned skin and lime-green eyes, Hikaru keeps his blue hair styled into a nine-piece mohawk tipped in light blue, and has an orange half-sun tattooed on his right cheek. He wears a turquoise-blue dress shirt with a yellow tie under a short-sleeved navy Letterman jacket that carries light-blue panels on the sleeves and pockets, an "H" on the left flap and a yellow sun on the back, paired with orange baggy trousers. His black sneakers have turquoise-blue cuffs, striped tips and yellow laces, and he wears a single fingerless teal glove with a green cuff on his right hand. When he resonates with his Beyblade, his hair briefly flares up like blue fire.

Hikaru is calm, patient and level-headed, the type to study an opponent and plan around them rather than charge in the way his more reckless younger brother Hyuga does, and he often acts as the voice of reason between the two. He can still be immature at times, though always with an underlying optimism. He has a heroic streak, once grabbing Hyuga's arm without hesitation when a vine gave way beneath him and casually calling himself a hero afterward, which points to real but measured confidence rather than arrogance. He does have a vain side, courting attention when people single him out with questions, and can be selfish in small ways, such as claiming all the meat off shared food. None of that undercuts his loyalty: he is fiercely protective of Hyuga and deeply devoted to his friends and family.

Quotes

In Their Own Words

  • The hero is always fashionably late!
  • A revolution is when you break through any and all limits and make something incredible happen.
  • Heroes make comebacks!
  • They're not legends because they're strong. It was because they put in a lot of hard work and effort, and created their legend along the way and I'll do the same.
  • Aiger is the number one strongest blader in my eyes.
  • If Aiger chose Achilles, then my Lightning Bey is... like the sun! Together we'll burn bright enough to light up the world!
  • They're not legends because they're strong, all of them earn that title after countless hours of hard work. And I will too.
