White Tigers

The White Tigers are China's martial-arts-inspired representative team, guardians of the ancient bit-beast Driger, who battle in a speed-versus-attack style passed down through their home village's clan traditions. Ray Kon's departure and eventual return as leader define much of the team's arc across the original series and G-Revolution.

What to know

  • Members: Lee (leader, Galeon/Galeon 2), Mariah (Galux), Kevin (Galman), Gary (Galzzly), and Ray Kon (Driger G, becomes G-Revolution leader).
  • Coached by Tao, with prospective member Bruce thrown out by Kevin.
  • Driger, their clan's ancient guardian bit-beast, was historically entrusted to Ray rather than Lee or Mariah's family line.
  • Ray leaves the team to learn from other bladers, angering Kevin, then returns to lead as White Tiger X in G-Revolution.
  • The team competes in an exhibition loss to the Demolition Boys (with Kai and Black Dranzer) alongside the All Starz, having their bit-beasts stolen until Tyson's final win frees them.
  • Runner-up in the Asian Tournament; lost in the World Championship in both Beyblade and G-Revolution.
  • After learning of BEGA's plans via Mystel, most of the team, alongside Ray, later joins the G Revolutions for the Justice Five Tournament.

  • Before Ray rejoined in G-Revolution, every member's bit-beast name was prefixed "Gal-."
  • Despite the team name, most of their bit-beasts are not tigers — a nod to their clan's guardian, Driger, the actual White Tiger.
  • All members except Lee are named after animal sounds in Japanese; Lee's Japanese name "Rei" simply mirrors Ray's name.
  • Team member colors are inconsistent in the original season due to the anime's production timing, an error repeated for the All Starz in a later video game.
