Biography

Bel Daizora, called the Dark Prince (Demon King in Japan), is the main protagonist of Beyblade Burst QuadDrive and returns as QuadStrike's protagonist. Living in the haunted-mansion set piece Phantom's Gate with his grandfather Jinemon, the homeschooled, prank-loving boy battles all comers with his invented Quad System Bey, Destruction Belfyre, evolving it through Gears inspired by rivals Free, Valt, Shu, and Lui. After Rashad Goodman shatters his Bey during the Dynamite Battle Tour, Bel rebuilds it into Devastate Belfyre, later evolving further into Divine and Destined Belfyre across the two seasons while his rivalries with Rashad and others deepen into friendship.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Short in stature, Bel has a striking multicoloured hairstyle combining a red Mohawk and dark purple hair streaked with magenta rhombus highlights, set off by pale skin, turquoise eyes and black eyeliner. His shirt is grey with a black-cuffed long sleeve on the right side, while the left sleeve is rolled to the shoulder and bears a magenta cat-skull design; over it he wears a black, Dracula-style cape lined in red, cinched with a gold-buckled brown belt. Dark-grey trousers with a black strap on each leg lead down to azure-and-yellow striped socks and white boots with crimson soles, and he wears an azure armband on his left bicep along with a fingerless, black-cuffed maroon glove on that hand. When he resonates strongly with his Beyblade, the magenta highlights in his hair glow.

Despite the intimidating title he claims for himself, Bel is more eccentric and socially awkward than sinister, with a flair for theatrics that, combined with real skill and a hunger to win, helps him live up to the image anyway. He loves pulling pranks on friends and family alike, and just as often ends up on the receiving end of his grandfather's own jokes, or causes chaos by accident while copying someone else's training methods. Losing eats at him — he hates it and dresses up every defeat as "preparation for victory" — yet he holds real respect for strong bladers like Valt, Free and Shu, using his rivalry with them to keep improving his Beyblade, Belfyre. He can be reckless too, picking fights on impulse and bending rules, and shares an unusually strong bond with Belfyre, communicating with it almost telepathically.
