About This Part
Metsu is a Weight shaped from four hexagons set two to a side, forming a Z pattern that gives it good synergy with two-sided Layer Bases such as Judgement and Zwei. Takara Tomy debuted it in Japan on June 22nd, 2019 with the B-144 Booster, Zwei Longinus Drake Spiral' Metsu, and Hasbro brought it west through the Pro Series Starter Pack, Zwei Luinor Blitz-P Xtend+ Metsu.
In Play
On release the community counted Metsu among the must-have Weights alongside Goku and Ten, prized for a weight spread suited to Attack combinations even though it is lighter than Goku and can stand in for Ten; now that Gatinko Layer System Energy Layers are too light for the current metagame, it is rated collection-only, and it remains illegal in both the WBO's Limited and Classic formats.
