About This Part
Gen is a small rubber Weight built with a triangular protrusion on one face that acts as a Burst Stopper. Takara Tomy first distributed it in Japan through an exclusive B-00 GT Point Get Battle Campaign running from May 15th to June 14th, 2019, timed to the 2019 Asian Championship, and Hasbro later released it west through the Pro Series Starter Pack, Poison Cobra 7Wall Keep Gen.
In Play
In practice Gen's Burst-resistance gain is undercut by how much overall mass a build loses from its Layer, which actually leaves heavier Discs skipping teeth more against it and drags down Stamina, Attack and Defense potential across the board; the community mainly credits it with keeping Dread from bursting too easily and otherwise calls it collection-only, though it holds a niche in the WBO's Limited format with certain Gatinko Layer Bases, and it is not legal in the WBO's Classic format.
- Debuted in Japan through an exclusive B-00 GT Point Get Battle Campaign running May 15th, 2019 to June 14th, 2019, timed to the 2019 Asian Championship.
- Released in western countries through Hasbro's Pro Series Starter Pack, Poison Cobra 7Wall Keep Gen.
- A blue-coloured version of this Weight, like the Destroy' recolour, could be earned by redeeming points from G4 tournament play or from battling motorized Beys in stadiums fitted with the Mugen or Mugen-L Disc-Integrated Drivers.
