About This Part
Takara Tomy put Achilles into Japanese shops on October 24th, 2020 inside B-173 Random Booster Vol. 22, before Hasbro carried it west in the Infinite Achilles Dimension' 1B Pro Series Starter Pack. The chip is a right-spin Superking piece shaped into an armoured face and shield, styled after the Greek hero whose name it borrows. Its weight sits in the average band for Superking Chips, leaving it behind heavier metal-cored right-spin rivals such as Hyperion 2 and Solomon, and behind the dual-spin flexibility of Diabolos and Spriggan.
In Play
Because most Superking Chips differ mainly in look rather than function, the community steers toward those heavier or dual-spin alternatives over Achilles, and treats it as unfit for the Burst format and ineligible in the Burst GT, Limited and Classic formats.
