About This Part
Hasbro launched Xcalius X8 in western countries through the Xcalius Power Speed Launcher Set, a right-spin Strike Chip for the Burst System's QuadDrive and QuadStrike lines. Its oversized sword mold nods to Excalibur, the legendary blade of Arthurian legend, and it carries an above-average weight for its category with average burst resistance; unlike its Takara Tomy counterpart, it skips any metal content along with the 'BU Lock' and 'One Hit Mode' gimmicks.
In Play
The community treats QuadStrike System Layers as heavily outclassed by Takara Tomy's Cho-Z Layer System releases and later lines, so Xcalius X8 is considered a collector's piece rather than a tournament choice, and it holds no legal status in the WBO's Burst Classic Format.
- Released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System, QuadDrive System and QuadStrike System.
- Debuted in western countries with the Xcalius Power Speed Launcher Set.
