About This Part
Dragon D8 is a right-spin Strike Chip whose head-and-claws sculpt carries the dragon namesake shared with several other Hasbro chips. Released under the Burst System, the QuadDrive System and the QuadStrike System, it debuted in western countries inside the Gambit Dragon D8 and Ambush Achilles A8 Dual Pack. It carries an above-average weight for Strike Chips and high Burst Resistance, though unlike its Takara Tomy counterpart it lacks the spring-driven Bound Attack gimmick, keeping only non-functional spring-like details for appearance.
In Play
The community rates Hasbro's QuadStrike Strike Chips as outclassed overall by Takara Tomy's Cho-Z Layer System and its successors, and Dragon D8 is also barred from the WBO's Burst Classic Format, so it is recommended for collecting only.
- Released by Hasbro in the Gambit Dragon D8 and Ambush Achilles A8 Dual Pack.
