About This Part
Achilles A8 is a left-spin Strike Chip whose armored face and shield depict the Greek hero for which it is named. Hasbro released it under the Burst System, the QuadDrive System and the QuadStrike System, debuting in western countries inside the QuadStrike Starter Pack, Zeal Achilles A8 Giga-Q Massive-Q+Quattro II-10. It carries an average weight and average Burst Resistance, and unlike the equivalent Takara Tomy piece it spins only in one direction rather than switching between the two; non-functional details resembling tri-wing screws are molded onto its surface for looks alone.
In Play
The community places Hasbro's QuadStrike Strike Chips behind the Cho-Z Layer System and later Takara Tomy releases in general, and rates Achilles A8 specifically as outclassed among left-spin chips in that line; it is also barred from the WBO's Burst Classic Format, so it is recommended for collecting only.
