About This Part

Boost Disk 145, known as BD145, is a Takara Tomy Spin Track that debuted in Japan on December 28, 2010 with the BB-99 Maximum Series Starter Hell Kerbecs BD145DS. Built to interlock with the Hades Fusion Wheel, it was the widest Track on the market at release, and its disk can be pulled off and flipped to switch between Normal Mode and Boost Mode. Normal Mode sits the disk low enough to scrape stadium floors and leave a gap that bleeds spin, while Boost Mode only clicks properly onto Hades, turning its three protrusions upward to seal the gap between that wheel's blades and support Defense and Stamina play.

In Play

Paired with a tall Performance Tip such as Coating Spike, Boost Mode builds a heavy Defense combo that resists knockouts, and the community treats BD145 as close to mandatory under MFB Standard Format rules, though Limited Format bans it outright, leaving it a collection piece there.
