About This Part
230 is a Takara Tomy Spin Track that debuted in Japan on December 28, 2010, launching with Flame Byxis 230WD as the flagship of the Maximum Series and marketed at the time as the tallest height on offer. Six indents near its top taper down toward the middle, and its rounded, thickened build sheds recoil more effectively than the hexagonal shape used by earlier plain Tracks. That extra height lets it wobble for a long stretch as spin runs down, beating shorter Stamina rivals outright, and it shields the Fusion Wheel beneath from most low Attack hits when paired with strong Defense parts. Its size becomes a liability against tall opposite-spin Attack builds, and Triple Height 170 later matched its reach while adding a height-change gimmick on top.
In Play
As a Defense Type Spin Track it beats most low Attack customizations under the 120 height, but tall opposite-spin Attack builds exploit its size, and the community rates Triple Height 170 above it once that gimmick's versatility is factored in.
- Debuted in Japan on December 28, 2010 with the BB-95 Maximum Series Starter Flame Byxis 230WD.
