About This Part
Takara Tomy released Mirage as a left-spin Ring for the Burst System's Superking Layer System, debuting in Japan on May 30th, 2020 inside the B-167 Booster, Mirage Fafnir Nothing 2S, before Hasbro carried the same combination west in a Pro Series Starter Pack. Three dragon heads form its three-sided shape, rubber coats its perimeter, and an "F" motif split across each side nods to Fafnir, echoing its predecessors. Its underside sits close to the Chassis, and it is built to work with the 2S Chassis's Absorb and Counter modes.
In Play
The rubber and aggressive shape produce more recoil than a Stamina piece usually wants, which pushes Mirage's real strength toward Mobile Attack builds with a Double Chassis rather than Spin-Equalization, and competitive players still rate Zwei and Rage above it for left-spin Attack.
- Debuted in Japan on May 30th, 2020 with the B-167 Booster, Mirage Fafnir Nothing 2S.
- Released in western countries with Hasbro's Pro Series Starter Pack, Mirage Fafnir Nothing 2S.
