About This Part

Gambit reworks Takara Tomy's Gatling BU Blade for Hasbro's lineup as a right-spin Attack-type piece, keeping the rounded shape of Gatling's pre-activation Slashing Hit Mode but casting it as a single plastic part with no mode-change gimmick and no Consecutive Hit Mode to switch into. Its outline is nearly the same as Hasbro's SpeedStorm Triumph Ring, giving it similar handling with a heavier combined weight, and despite its Attack billing the round profile suits stamina play better. It debuted with the Gambit Dragon D8 and Ambush Achilles A8 Dual Pack.

In Play

Community consensus treats QuadStrike Blades such as Gambit as too light to compete with Takara Tomy's Dynamite Battle Layer System pieces, so it is not recommended for the Burst format and is not legal in either the Burst Limited or Burst Classic formats.

  • Released by Hasbro in the Gambit Dragon D8 and Ambush Achilles A8 Dual Pack as Gambit Dragon D8 Karma-Q Zephyr-Q+Eruption-4'.
  • The 4 and 4' Gravity Rings, at 1.7 grams each, are the heaviest available and the ones the community favours with Gambit.
