About This Part

Wide Flat, or WF, is a Takara Tomy Performance Tip released as part of the Metal System, debuting in Japan in 2008 with Quetzalcoatl 90WF and reaching the West in April 2012 through the Bakushin Susanow 90WF Starter Pack. It is simply Flat scaled up to twice the size, and that added surface makes it noticeably faster than Flat, though it grips the stadium floor poorly and struggles to hold a steady flower-shaped path as a result. Extreme Flat later surpassed it in sheer width.

In Play

Its weak grip makes it a poor pick for Attack builds, and with Extreme Flat now available the community sees little practical reason to run it, leaving it mostly a collector's piece.

  • Debuted in Japan in 2008 with Quetzalcoatl 90WF.
  • Reached western countries in April 2012 with the Bakushin Susanow 90WF Starter Pack.
  • Its function and design carry through to the Assault tip and its variants in the Burst Series.
