About This Part
Twin Ball, or TB, is a Takara Tomy Performance Tip that debuted in Japan on October 20th, 2012 with the BBG-23 Zero-G Random Booster Vol. 3 Bandid Genbull F230TB, reaching the West through the SS-23 Bandit Genbu F230TB Starter Pack. It takes the shape of half a sphere topped with a small ball identical in size to the tip on plain Ball, and that spherical shape lets it wobble at extreme angles for longer than most other Performance Tips when set on a tall Spin Track, an effect that grows even stronger on 230-height tracks.
In Play
Against same-spin opponents it resists rotational recoil unusually well and grinds down spin velocity effectively when paired with the Genbull Chrome Wheel, making the community treat it as an essential stamina choice in any stadium format; but it stays vulnerable to opposite-spin match-ups because of its rounded base, where safer picks like a Wide Defense setup on 145 height are the better bet.
