About This Part
The Level Chip is a Takara Tomy accessory built to slot underneath most Cho-Z and SlingShock Layers, filling the diamond-shaped gap visible on the topside once seated through three underside sockets. Adding roughly 0.7 grams, it tightens the Layer's locking mechanism and evens out its balance.
In Play
That extra weight raises inertia enough to help Attack builds hold a banking pattern longer, cuts the odds of a burst, adds Stamina, and the tighter lock boosts Burst Resistance on its own; the community treats it as outclassed in the WBO's Burst format by the heavier Dynamite Battle line, a welcome but non-essential pickup in Burst GT for Layers like Archer Hercules and Perfect Phoenix, and an outright must-have in Burst Limited alongside top Cho-Z picks such as Bloody Longinus, Geist Fafnir and Hazard Kerbeus, while it has no place at all in Burst Classic.
- First given away through wbba. events and CoroCoro Comic magazine promotions before any retail sale.
- Received its only standard retail release bundled with Emperor Forneus 13Meteor Survive in the B-130 Random Booster Vol. 13 Air Knight.12E.Et.
- Tournament prizes were issued in bronze, silver and gold G4 Ver. finishes, alongside red and yellow CoroCoro Comic exclusives and blue, red and yellow wbba. Special Prize colourways.
- The World Beyblade Organization banned the Level Chip from its Burst format for a month, from May 7th, 2018 to June 4th, 2018, because of how scarce it was at the time.
- It will not seat under several Cho-Z and SlingShock Layers, among them Cho-Z Achilles, Cho-Z Spriggan, Cho-Z Valkyrie and Turbo Valtryek V3.
