About This Part
Takara Tomy's Wyvern gave the Burst System a circular, seven-bladed Defense Type Layer topped with a dragon's head marking its namesake, the two-legged winged Wyvern of legend. It reached Japan on September 19th, 2015 in the B-14 Starter, Wyvern Armed Massive. The perimeter carries most of the piece's weight, and its four short teeth back up a shape built to deflect rather than absorb hits.
In Play
Contact either glances off the outer curve of a blade or slips into the gaps between spikes and gets pushed clear, which the community credits with strong Defense and, thanks to the low recoil that low-friction shape produces, high Burst Resistance despite short teeth that wear quickly; once the SwitchStrike and God Layer System arrived, however, Wyvern's light build left it unable to keep pace, and it now sits in the collection-only tier.
