About This Part
Victory Valtryek V2 is Hasbro's Dual Layer System counterpart to Takara Tomy's Victory Valkyrie, reaching western stores in the Epic Rivals Battle Set. Its three wings curve inward into more of a hook shape at a steeper angle than the Takara Tomy version's straight, obtuse contact points, which lets it catch onto an opponent's Layer more readily for extra Burst Attack. It keeps the fully hollow wings of Victory Valkyrie's first mold but borrows the reinforced centre ring of that Layer's third mold, and its softer plastic makes it noticeably more durable than either.
In Play
The community rates its well-shaped contact points a top pick for Attack Combinations in the Burst Classic format when Layers such as Roktavor aren't available, though it too became too light to hold up once the SwitchStrike and God Layer Systems shipped.
- Debuted in western countries with the B9498 Epic Rivals Battle Set as Victory Valtryek V2 Boost Variable.
- Sold individually as B9487 Victory Valtryek V2 Boost Variable.
- Reissued across several sets including the C0706 Avatar Attack Battle Set, C1513 Victory Valtryek V2 Rip Fire Pack, C3401 Apex Attack Pack, E1046 Victory Valtryek V2 Limited Unite and F3342 Evolution Trio Valtryek 3-Pack.
- The red colourway sold in the Apex Attack Pack carries printed details resembling the B-49 Random Booster Vol. 3 release of Victory Valkyrie.
- The black colourway sold as a single pack under the Limited Unite name uses a more translucent soft plastic and a colour scheme that reads as a blend of Victory Valkyrie's B-00 Special Limited and B-49 Random Booster Vol. 3 releases.
