About This Part

Unperfect Phoenix is not a standalone retail item; Takara Tomy's Cho-Z Layer System lets Bladers build it by combining the Revive Armor from Revive Phoenix with the Dead Core from Dead Phoenix, and the resulting Layer takes its name from being assembled out of the two lighter halves of that pairing. Swapping in the heavier Core and Armor instead produces the alternate build known as Perfect Phoenix. Like its source Layers it centres a bird motif with four wing-shaped blades honouring the mythical Phoenix, and it carries metal in both the Revive Armor and Dead Core; the Armor locks onto the rest of the Layer but can be knocked free in battle, which trims weight and smooths the remaining perimeter for less recoil, though the detached piece then sits in the stadium and can interfere with either Blader's banking pattern.

In Play

Being lighter than both Revive Phoenix and Dead Phoenix leaves it outclassed by each, and the community rates it too light for the Burst Standard metagame while noting it holds no legality at all in the WBO's Burst Limited or Burst Classic formats, making it a collection piece only.
