About This Part

Takara Tomy released Unicorn as a Defense-leaning Layer for the Burst System, debuting in Japan on November 14th, 2015 with the B-22 Beyblade Custom Set Defense & Stamina. Its mostly circular outline holds ten counter-clockwise-pointing protrusions, eight forming the manes of the two unicorns pictured on the Layer and two standing in for their horns. The wide diameter and rim-heavy weight give it Stamina on par with Neptune, but that same width increases the rotational recoil it absorbs in a hit, and its shorter-than-average teeth make it easy to Burst despite the unaggressive shape.

In Play

The community rates it directly outclassed by Neptune, which matches its Stamina while resisting Bursts better, and considers Unicorn too light to compete once the SwitchStrike and God Layer Systems arrived, leaving it a piece for collectors rather than tournaments.
