About This Part

Turbo Valtryek V3 is Hasbro's Attack Type Layer for the SwitchStrike System, its armoured, feathered centre face nodding to the valkyries of Norse myth and three wings serving as its main points of contact, following the shape of earlier Valtryek Layers. It debuted in western countries with the SwitchStrike Starter Pack Turbo Valtryek V3 Zenith Evolution. Like other Turbo-prefixed Layers it carries the Turbo Awakening gimmick, where spin speed extends sub-wings that push a Burst Stopper into the disc groove, though only the upper-left of its three wings actually moves the stopper and the springs behind it are noticeably weaker than on its Cho-Z Layer System and Pro Series counterparts, Cho-Z Valkyrie and Cho-Z Valtryek, so the mechanism triggers more often and gives up ground once it does.

In Play

Losing the metal of its Cho-Z counterparts makes it lighter, yet it is still one of the heavier Hasbro Layers, and pairing it with three-pointed Forge Discs such as Zenith concentrates weight at its wings for real Attack output; the community keeps it in Right-Spin Attack builds within the WBO's Burst Limited and Hasbro formats, though the gimmick firing mid-match can make results inconsistent.
