In Play
It keeps its gimmick working and matches Tornado Wyvern's teeth in strength while sharing the same weak Stamina, and later, heavier SwitchStrike Layers have since left it behind, so the community treats it as a collector's piece rather than a competitive one.
- Debuted in western countries on the SwitchStrike Starter Pack Tempest Wyvron W3 4Glaive Atomic.
- Reissued as E1028 Tempest Wyvron W3 4Glaive Atomic.
- Included in E2459 Spin Shifter Pack as Tempest Wyvron W3 2Glaive Trans.
The Competitive View
The free-spinning bottom layer cuts recoil from hits, but the short teeth and large gaps between blades let opponents strike into the gaps and burst it easily; overall stamina also lags behind layers like Alter Chronos.
Verdict as the draft gives it: Outclassed for defense by Alter Chronos and Drain Fafnir due to weak teeth and low stamina; recommended for collection purposes only.
- Debut: B-80 Random Booster Vol. 6 Tornado Wyvern .4G.At (translucent purple), April 29, 2017
- Also released in B-98 Ultra Transformation Set (translucent yellow)
- Hasbro release: Tempest Wyvron W3 4Glaive Atomic
- Only four short teeth on the Takara Tomy release
Related parts named in the draft: Alter Chronos, Drain Fafnir, Wyvron.
