About This Part
Strike God Valkyrie takes the God Valkyrie mold and fits it with the Strike God Chip, a piece Takara Tomy debuted in Japan on October 21st, 2017 with the B-96 Mugen Beystadium DX Set. Set into the upper center of the Layer, the chip works as a Metal God Chip while also locking God Valkyrie's Bound Wings gimmick at its farthest extension, merging the primary wings into a single piece and exposing a new small contact point meant to add a third hit to the Layer's attack.
In Play
That extra contact point ends up covering the primary blade and cutting recoil more than adding a genuine third hit, but because nothing cushions the impact, its Attack potential still exceeds God Valkyrie's, at the cost of a much higher Burst risk against its own wide wings — comparable to Legend Spriggan's Left-Spin Mode, though sub-wings and strong teeth soften that risk somewhat. The Strike God Chip's added weight remains too small to put it alongside top-tier Attack Layers like Sieg Xcalibur, so the community treats it as a collector's piece; per WBO rules, God Valkyrie, Strike God Valkyrie, Genesis Valtryek V3 and Strike Valtryek V3 count as the same part, so only one of the four may go into a single 3-on-3 or Deck Battle deck.
- Debuted in Japan on October 21st, 2017 via the B-96 Mugen Beystadium DX Set as Strike God Valkyrie Mugen.
- Reissued as a CoroCoro-exclusive Mr. Strongest Custom release, B-00 Strike God Valkyrie 6Vortex Ultimate Reboot.
The Competitive View
In practice the new small contact point actually reduces recoil by covering the primary blade rather than enabling a true three-hit combo, though the lack of a cushioning spring keeps its uncushioned impacts stronger than its predecessor's, at the cost of much higher Burst risk similar to Legend Spriggan's Left Spin Mode.
Verdict as the draft gives it: Strike God Valkyrie is judged too light to keep pace with top Attack layers like Sieg Xcalibur despite genuinely higher Burst Attack, recommended for collection purposes only.
- Debuted in B-96 Mugen Beystadium release
- Strike God Chip replaces the standard God Chip, disabling the Bound Wings gimmick
- Wings lock into a consolidated, fixed position exposing a new small contact point
Related parts named in the draft: God Valkyrie, Sieg Xcalibur, Legend Spriggan, Strike Valtryek V3 (Hasbro's planned counterpart, per commenters).
