About This Part
Takara Tomy marked Metal Fight Beyblade's tenth anniversary by bringing Rock Leone into the Burst System, releasing it in Japan in December 2019 through the B-00 Metal Fight Beyblade Anime 10th Anniversary Set. It rebuilds the Leone I Face Bolt, Leone I Energy Ring and Rock Fusion Wheel from the old Hybrid Wheel System as a single round, non-separating piece, with a Leone motif and camouflage detailing at its centre; unlike the original trio, the wheel-section protrusions here are moulded more pronounced, adding recoil the original set never had.
In Play
The remade Layer runs wider than the parts it is based on, with its wheel section made of plastic lined only with metal along the rim, and its locking mechanism is fine enough that burst resistance is particularly weak. The community considers it outclassed by more recent Takara Tomy releases in the current standard and limited metagames alike, and it does not qualify for the WBO's Burst Classic Format at all, leaving it recommended purely for collecting.
